Strong 'out-of-the-box' merchandising features

Ticket to Heaven wanted a new and strong platform for online sales, providing 'merchandizing features' for simple and efficient handling of customer segmentation, cam-paigns, and newsletters, etc.

Their requirements to robustness and uptime of the solution were high at the same time, as it should allow for a quick and easy expansion to new markets.



Solution


In April 2013, Alpha Solutions began to build the new platform on Salesforce Commerce Cloud (Demandware), a cloud based e-commerce solution with an uptime of 99.98, some of the most advanced 'merchandizing features' in the market, and with the shortest time to market for the launch of web shops.


The latter was of great importance as Ticket to Heaven aimed to go live with five online shops, each in their own language, within three months. The languages were Danish, English, Russian, German, and Finnish.



Raptor Smart Advisor was implemented for intelligent product recommendations.


The solution was integrated to Ticket to Heaven’s ERP system.



Result


The five web shops went live already in the end of June. 


Shortly after the launch, their Head of e-Commerce, Anders Bach Waagstein wrote on LinkedIn: “New ecommerce platform launched at Ticket To Heaven. Still lots of issues to handle but ... same traffic, 8% lift in basket size and 48% lift in conversion rate!!!” 


Next step for Alpha Solutions is to create an integration to Ticket to Heaven’s new ERP system, which they began to implement immediately after the launch of the new web shops.
