Dansk Metal Multisite Solution

Alpha Solutions has, in cooperation with the trade union Dansk Metal, developed an application a multi-site solution for both Dansk Metal’s branches and a number of campaign websites. The multi-site solution is based on Sitecore Foundry which ensures a common look-and-feel on each department site as all sites are based on the same site template. A campaign site template har been built for the campaign sites.

LDAP Integration

The multi-site solution has been integrated with Dansk Metals existing Novell Netware LDAP server centralizing user administration and preventing maintenance in multiple systems.

Inline editing directly on the website

The built-in Sitecore feature "inline editing", gives the editors in the departments an easy time-saving way to edit the website and enables more than just one person in the department to generate content as the feature makes it very easy to start publising content.

 

Site templates

Site templates makes it very easy to create a new site. This can be done in a matter of hours. The Site will be created with some default settings, look-and-feel, subpages and menus. The local user the has to add local content to it and change some features and then it can be published. This is very usefull when Dansk Metal wants to launch campaign sites very quickly.
